How do I find a partner?

• Some communities have programs to help you find a partner. Check with the language department at your local college or university. Conversation partners are a common feature on many campuses where languages are taught. They may use a different name, or they may not have an organized program. Ask if they can connect you with a student who speaks your target language. 

• Local libraries may also offer community classes or workshops. Inquire about your options for being a volunteer. They may be able to help match up partners.

• Do you have a neighbor or friend who needs to learn your language? Use the Study Buddy Map to help you feel more confident tutoring them. The extra perk to your service is that you could learn from them as well.
